Fees

Each coin charges 0–10% on the quote side (default 2%). Split is 60% creator, 30% protocol, 10% referrer. Claim when you want.

Pad coin market cap on the feed and API is last trade price × 1B supply (opening ~$4k FDV before the first trade). 24h volume rolls up from indexed pad trades.

Every trade pays the coin’s fee in the quote (ETH, a stable, $BASECAT, a wrapped major, or a stock token) — not in the meme itself. An AAPL pair pays AAPL. An ETH pair pays ETH. An Arc pair pays USDC. A BSC pair pays BNB or USDT. Creation costs 0.001 of that chain’s gas token (ETH, USDC on Arc, or BNB on BSC).

Swaps routed through BASE 1 also pay a 1% service fee. That is an interface fee, separate from the coin’s locked launch fee. The same launch coin traded on another venue still pays the launch fee, not this 1%. Creating a token is 0.001 ETH on Base and Robinhood, 0.001 USDC on Arc, or 0.001 BNB on BSC — no service fee on create, on a first buy inside the launch transaction, or on fee / dividend claims. Generic BSC swaps quote on Pancake. Pad coins still trade on the locked Uniswap v4 pool.

Trade fee

The creator picks 0–10% (default 2%), same on buy and sell. That choice is locked. The tax always splits 60 / 30 / 10.

A missing, invalid, or self-referral does not cut the creator share. That slice goes to protocol instead.

The creator’s 60% is then split You / Burn this coin / Dividend (and on Base, an optional Burn $BASECAT row). Recipient is the You wallet only, unless a Fomo Launch preset sends that whole creator lane to one confirmed in-app EVM wallet. The 60 / 30 / 10 split does not change, and Solana fomo wallets are not recipients. See Fomo Launch. Dividends are claimed by every holder from a per-launch vault.

For the first 20 seconds the fee can be higher. Extra above the coin’s normal fee goes to protocol. See Anti-snipe.

How to claim

Open Profile or the coin’s Fees tab and claim. Fees wait for you; they are not sent automatically.

  • You: the fee owner claims the quote.
  • Dividend: holders claim the chosen token (pair quote, this coin, or a listed stock). First visit Activates (clock starts; first harvest can be $0). Selling without claiming forfeits what was pending. This is not BASE 1 Rewards points and not a first-buy airdrop.
  • Burns: ETH pairs only. Trigger from Profile or the coin page after fees have built up. See Burns and dividends.

Not equity. Not a broker stock dividend. Tokenized-stock payouts are an on-chain claim of a listed stock token on this chain.

Referrals

Share /feed?ref=0xYourWallet (or a coin page with the same ?ref=). The first time that visitor connects a wallet, they are bound to you. Later links cannot steal them.

You earn the 10% referrer slice of each BASE 1 launch coin fee they pay after that. Paid in the quote asset. Claim on Profile.

If they never used a link, that 10% goes to protocol. Self-referral and the token creator are invalid; that slice also goes to protocol.

The 1% platform service fee is never shared with referrers. Third-party desks (Toshi, Cashcat, and other Uniswap routes) do not pay this referral slice.

BASE 1 service fee

1% on secondary swaps in this product (/swap, the coin desk, and any later in-app route). Shown on every quote. Launch coins also pay that coin’s locked fee.

A 2% launch coin traded here is about 3% all-in (launch fee + service). Predictions (play-money) do not pay this fee. BASE 1 Rewards points (including +2 per thesis) are a separate score — they are not paid from the 1% service fee or the referral hook fee. See Rewards points.

Launch cost

0.001 of the chain’s gas token per new token (ETH on Base and Robinhood, USDC on Arc, BNB on BSC), paid when you confirm the launch. No 1% service fee on create.

Where the protocol share goes

The protocol share of each pad trade (30% of the coin’s fee, or more if there is no valid referrer) accrues in escrow to the platform treasury — the same wallet as the 1% swap service fee. Creators claim their own slice. BASE 1 does not buy or burn $BASECAT.

On Robinhood Chain, Arc, and BSC, protocol fees stay on that chain. Arc quotes are the USDC token only. BSC quotes are BNB or USDT. There is no $BASECAT lane on BSC.

A live coin’s 60 / 30 / 10 split does not change after launch.
